MBIO7040: Data analysis and visualization in R
Welcome to the pre-course site for the three-day R workshop on Analysis and Visualization of Biological Data in R. The workshop will be held on January 8, 10 & 12 from 9:30am-1:30pm in 124 Machray Hall. Take the staircase/ elevator that's between the Faculty of Science Office and the Science Library to the 1st floor (basement level). There are signs for the photo studio on a door in the hallway by the elevator. There’s are multiple rooms behind that door and 124 is the first on the right
We will follow The Carpentries code of conduct. By attending the workshop, participants accept to abide by The Carpentries’ Code of Conduct and accept the procedures by which any Code of Conduct incidents are resolved. Any form of behaviour to exclude, intimidate, or cause discomfort is a violation of the Code of Conduct.
Please follow the instructions here to install both R and R Studio before January 8th 2024. We will not spend time on installation during the workshop.
All materials are located on the course website. This workshop was developed as a stand-alone module for a Microbiology Graduate Students Course. Materials and pedagogy are partially based on similar workshops developed and taught through The Carpentries. No prior knowledge of R is required or assumed, though you may want to poke around the website to familiarize yourself with what we will be doing.
